Wishing everyone a peaceful and relaxing weekend

Tomorrow my husband and I are off to visit friends in lovely Hampshire. We hope to go to a National Trust property and as a real treat to visit the Bourne Mill Antiques Centre, which has lots of lovely vintage sellers. I've never been before so I'm quite excited about what I might find. The weather promises to be warm and sunny so I might even go for a swim!

Thank you ~ xxxx

Thank you for responding about my missing followers ~ I was very pleased to see you back.

Good morning everyone!

I've just come onto my blog this morning and have noticed that the lovely people that were following me, have disappeared from my sidebar and I don't know why ~ any ideas? I've checked all of my settings and there is no reason why they shouldn't be showing.

Off to work now, but will try and sort later. I don't want anybody to think it's because I've deleted them!

Have a good day ~ x

Oh what a beautiful morning .......... oh what a beautiful day ...........

Hello peeps

After my exhausting day tidying things yesterday I will be going out to see what I can find. Lechlade has a couple of lovely antique centres and then I will probably dash across to Cirencester. I was very pleased to see that there is a new vintage fair at the Bath Racecourse that will be taking place on July 24th and of course there is the big Flea Market at Shepton Mallet on the 17th July that definitely can't be missed!

I am off to the States at the end of July. I was intending to go to the 127 world's longest yard sale that goes from Hudson in Michigan right through to Gadsden, Alabama but because of the uncertainty ref. the weather I am now going to a huge Flea Market at the Rosebowl ~ oooooohhhhhh ...... I can't wait....... My poor family has to put up with me counting down the days.  If I do buy anything ~ lol, I will worry about how I'm going to get it home when I'm there. Watch this space.

Have a good day ........ x

Time for a rest ............

My trip out to Tetbury was very enjoyable, but I didn't buy anything at all. I felt compelled on my return home to tidy up all of my craft things which have been spread out all over the dining room (floor, table, dresser and anything with a surface!) for some time. Much progress was made and my husband now has a smiley face as he can walk through the room without tripping over something. Of course, I will have to have a day out tomorrow to recover. I do suffer from withdrawal symptoms if I don't buy something for a few days.

I have to say that there are some really fab blogs on here and I am enjoying myself looking through and reading about all the wondrous things that some of you get up to. Such an amazing range of talent and the lovely part is that everyone is so willing to share ~ thank you.

Have a lovely evening and the weather forecast is promising a glorious Sunday, so have fun!

What happened to the lovely sunny weather forecast for today?

Wishing everybody a sunny and happy weekend ~ x

The weather forecast says it is going to be warm and sunny over the weekend, but it's wet and rainy at the moment. I'm probably going to head off to Tetbury to have a mooch around and who knows, I might even purchase a trug or two!  Sunny smiles.

An old fashioned love story ...........

Mr and Mrs Pig were born in the USA and lived happily together for many years before Mrs Pig decided to move to the UK in 2008. She was looking for more excitement in her life and wanted to experience the joy of flying before she became too old to travel! Although Mr Pig was absolutely devastated he tried not to make a fuss as he wanted Mrs Pig to be happy and content in her life.  She had a fabulous flight and loved every minute of her journey. As soon as she arrived in the UK she linked up with Mr Pig and over time they have each settled into their new routine, regularly keeping in touch via email.  Earlier this year, as you can see from the pictures, Mr Pig was introduced to a new lady and Mrs Pig quite frankly quickly became history ........... lol!

How true is this?

Sunny Smiles

Today was fab! The sun shone, and although I returned home trugless (lol!) I did by an old map and a terrarium, which was the next best thing ........... I've added it to all the other goodies that I have every intention of doing something with. Roll on Shepton Mallet and Malvern Flea Markets, I'm experiencing withdrawal symptoms. Gloucester Docks was good, very different from the old building  and lots of happy friendly people about, made for an extremely pleasant day. The place we stopped for lunch was pretty naff but hey, I guess we can't have it all.
