Melrose Trading Post ...........

Rejoice with your family in the beautiful land of life!  ~Albert Einstein ~

Overseen by Greenway Arts Alliance and Friends of Fairfax, The Melrose Trading Post is a successful ongoing fundraising event which is held every Sunday in the parking lot of Fairfax High School, Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles. Although there is an admission fee it does go towards supporting a variety of programs for Fairfax High School.  This weekly antiques and collectibles market is home to nearly 200 vendors and potential buyers will not be disappointed with the eclectic mix of items that are on offer. I was told that there are different vendors there every weekend. It's also an ideal place to sit and contemplate or to listen to the sultry voice of someone singing live in the background, whilst you rest your legs in between browsing! A shopping trolley is useful and we thought it was a very enjoyable way to spend a Sunday morning or afternoon.

We arrived around 9.30am and had a quick scout around. By 10.30am we were hungry and rather parched and it seemed right and fitting that we sat down and enjoyed a coke and hotdog! Although we didn't buy a great deal ~ a good time was had by all.
